Life At Our Homes

The Argyle Care Centre and Lochside Nursing Home are their own little communities and our Staff, Management and Owners will go out of their way to make you feel at home.

Moving in to a Care Home can clearly be a significant change but we are often pleasantly surprised at the ease with which the vast majority of our Residents quickly settle, and how often Residents and families say it is the best thing they ever did.

As well as making Residents feel comfortable and at home, we also like to make sure there is lots going on for all to enjoy, and with a wide range of visiting entertainers/activities and a further programme offered by our in house Activities Co-Ordinator there is plenty to keep you entertained(see below)

  • Robert & Malcolms Guitar Duo
  • Ainsley Our Award Winning Gaelic Singer
  • Joe Scottish Folk Singer
  • Angela Aerobics
  • Jill our Aromatherapist (private treatments available)
  • Hairdressers Lorraine, Linda and Lindsay
  • Various pet therapy visits
  • Regular Religious Services
  • Gala Dinners

We recognise, however, that every resident is different, and should you just wish the privacy and peace of your own room, or to enjoy the peaceful or more sociable living areas, it is completely your choice.

There are a number of library areas to wind down and read a good book, a kindle service offering thousands of books, and daily newspapers and magazines for some lighter reading.

Free Wi fi is on hand for our Internet buffs and Skype for those who wish to keep in contact "face to face" with family and loved ones, and Freeview and Sky is available in your room for those who wish us to arrange that for them.

There is a variety of seating areas outside were you can enjoy the gardens and views that our homes have to offer...or why not join our Gardening Committee, Good Food Group or Home Development Committee.

Whether active or more of a Private person The Argyll Group Homes will go out of their way to keep you content.
